‘In Yellow’ is an impressionistic portrait of Joanna Pilarczyk's partner, an artist - Jarek Radecki.

The painting was inspired by an everyday life situation when the artist noticed the beauty in a single moment. Her partner is resting in the garden beside a sleeping cat, Mia. He seems to be lost in his thoughts, frozen in the position. The yellow jacket represents his usually positive, honest and supportive character of a person who prefers to see good in people and is constantly interested in creative souls. Pilarczyk admires his constant need to learn about art techniques and improve as a motion graphic artist. She also respects these quiet moments when her husband reflects on the passing of time and nature.
